Mediation is an excellent tool for resolving the disputes that naturally arise after someone becomes incapacitated or dies. The people around an incapacitated family member or friend are often faced with hard choices and these issues can create conflict within a family or community. Alternative conflict resolution is a powerful tool for resolving these conflicts and it provides a structured forum for discussing alternatives. These sessions often provide “win-win” solutions to complicated and stressful disagreements.

Such conflicts often arise before death, often after the stress and tensiom has built up over long periods of time. It takes an experienced mediator/facilitator to guide parties through the conflict using a process that explors possible solutions. The effort is usually well worth the time and expense as it allows the parties to discover a solution that works for all involved. Mediation requires voluntary cooperation and a decision-making process that allows each party a say in the outcome.

Jane Beaumont Hall brings 30 years of legal experience to her conflict resolution practice. She has been a litigator since the late 1970’s and is an experienced mediator and negotiator.

Ms Hall has assisted in resolving over 500 cases and has over 150 hours of alternative conflict resolution training. She has been an active Continuing Legal Education and trainer for elementary and law students, school administrators, lawyers, and Girl Scout leaders, among others.

Ms Hall was honored for volunteer services (performed since 1993) to the Centinela Valley Juvenile Diversion Project Victim Offender Mediation Program.

She has served on the board of the Southern California Mediation Association.
